Robyn Hall has a varied background, with degrees in Applied Mathematics and Russian Studies, through to psychometrician and Project manager roles. After leaving the corporate world she started her business Woven by Society, weaving stories through craft.
The retail side of her business has flourished, and Robyn’s brand is now known for one off, bespoke pieces.
Robyn creates her range from scratch – she designs her range, creates prototypes, works on the best fabric choices, and then weaves her magic in her home studio.
Robyn started her business teaching others to make clothes in her small workshops. She developed her own patterns, and teaching style to equip her guests with skills in sewing and created a welcoming environment with many return guests.
Robyn has a sustainable focus, creating clothes that become wardrobe staples and upcycling her material remnants into her range of zip purses, brooches and covered notebooks.
Every piece is made by Robyn, and each piece is unique – even making the same item in the same material and colour ways, Robyn will change subtle details like changing the colour of threads, or piping on pockets to ensure every item is different.
